Fantasy Analysis
Furbush had been with Triple-A Tacoma before being recalled on Friday. Furbush is versatile enough to be a starter or reliever, and should get some action out of the 'pen. In terms of Fantasy value though, Furbush is only worth owning in AL-only leagues that value true middle men at this stage of the season. (Updated 04/13/2012).
05/17/2012 17:31 Santana's single bails out Indians in 11th

05/13/2012 16:32 Mariners spoil Pettitte's return for Yanks
Andy Pettitte made his much-anticipated return to the Yankees on Sunday, getting lavished with adoration while pitching into the seventh inning despite giving up a pair of two-run homers in New York's 6-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners.
Charlie Furbush was a key piece in the deal that sent Doug Fister to the Tigers last season and is expected to be a part of the Mariners' rotation for years to come. He got his first taste of the majors in 2011 and went 1-3 with a 3.62 ERA in 17 appearances (two starts) before being shipped to the Pacific Northwest. While he saw more starts down the stretch, the left-hander struggled with his new team as he went 3-7 with a 6.62 ERA in 11 appearances (10 starts). The 25-year-old has a ton of potential and will join a rotation in Seattle that is full of young talent, so there is the potential for him to become a viable option in mixed leagues this season. But since he will likely not receive much run support and still has some growing pains to go through, target Furbush in deeper Fantasy formats on Draft Day. (Updated 1/3/12)
