| Lindsey's rise hits minor delay |

(3/11/12) The Los Angeles Angels reassigned shortstop prospect Taylor Lindsey to the team's minor-league camp on Sunday. Lindsey, considered the sixth-ranked player in the Angels' farm system by MLB.com, went 5 for 7 while appearing in four Cactus League games this spring.

2012 Fantasy outlooks: Los Angeles Angels
Fans of the Los Angeles Angels might love the plentiful options bestowed upon them this offseason, but it could lead to a frustrating situation in Fantasy. Our Scott White explains in his Fantasy team outlook.

| Taylor Lindsey, who was named MVP of the Pioneer League by hitting .362 there in 2011, is an intriguing prospect for the Angels, especially since he plays second base. But given his uninspiring numbers in the heavy-hitting California League last year, you have to wonder if he'll have the pop to become a Fantasy asset long-term. At age 21, he still has a couple years to prove his worth, so if you need a middle infielder for the long haul and wouldn't mind taking a gamble, Lindsey is a viable option. Just understand that he isn't on the level of Kolten Wong or Eddie Rosario as far as second base prospects go. (Updated 1/2/13) |
