Fantasy Analysis
The Cubs shocked everyone when they selected the Division II product with the 16th pick in the 2010 MLB draft. The scouts projected him as a fourth- to sixth-round pick, but Chicago saw his 35-2 record in three college seasons and liked his athleticism. Well, it looks as though the scouts were right about Simpson. It's still very early in his MLB career, but getting demoted this early is never a good thing. Simpson is struggling to regain his form after battling a case of mono last year. He is nothing more than a low-end, long-term Fantasy keeper. (Updated 07/03/2011).
