Lipka transitioning to outfield: Matthew Lipka's switch from shortstop to center field in the instructional league went well, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution -- so well that the Braves would like their 2010 first-round pick to move to the outfield on a full-time basis in 2012. Fantasy Analysis
Lipka has already demonstrated plenty of speed in his minor-league career and is someone who the Braves could envision becoming their leadoff hitter someday. The move to the outfield would obviously hurt his long-term appeal, but given his lack of pop, he isn't an especially attractive option for long-term keeper leagues anyway. (Updated 10/25/2011).
