The left-hander has gone 8-3 with a 2.39 ERA in 14 starts so far this season, including one complete-game shutout. He also has an 81-to-13 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 83 innings pitched. Fantasy Analysis
Holmberg, who was acquired in the Edwin Jackson deal, has been dominant so far this season and will now get a chance to test his stuff at a higher level. The 19-year-old didn't impress in his first two seasons of pro ball but it appears as though he is starting to put it all together. Keep an eye on his progress down on the farm to see how he does against better competition. But since he is likely a couple of years away form making impact in the majors, continue to view Holmberg as more of a long-term prospect at this point. (Updated 06/30/2011).
