Parker lands on minors DL: Rockies outfield prospect Kyle Parker has been placed on the minor league disabled list with a hand injury, reports the Denver Post on Sunday. Parker was hit in the hand by a pitch on Saturday night. He's gone 2 for 4 in two games for Class A Modesto. (Updated 04/08/2012)

Parker hit .285 in his first pro season last year over 445 at-bats at Class A Asheville. He hit 21 homers and drove in 95 runs. Parker has a future in the bigs but will need to get healthy and have a solid year at Class A and possibly Double-A.
