| Royals make several roster moves |

(3/18/13) The Kansas City Royals made several roster moves on Monday prior to the Cactus League game against the Rangers. The Royals reassigned pitchers Blaine Boyer, Michael Mariot, Brian Sanches and Yordano Ventura to minor-league camp.
Optioned to Triple-A Omaha were pitchers Everett Teaford, Will Smith and Nate Adcock.
Teaford, Smith and Adcock have all seen time in the majors and could come up for the Royals at some point this season.

(2/19/13) Royals relief pitcher Everett Teaford (shoulder) was cleared to resume his throwing program Monday after being scratched from workouts last week, the Kansas City Star reports. Teaford said he experienced soreness in his left shoulder, which prompted the team to exercise caution.

(2/15/13) Royals relief pitcher Everett Teaford was scratched from throwing his scheduled live batting practice session Friday due to minor shoulder soreness, the Kansas City Star reports. Teaford, who made 18 appearances (five starts) for the Royals last year, is expected to resume throwing next week as the team does not consider the injury to be a serious issue.
