(7/2/13) Nationals reliever Cole Kimball has been moved off the team's 40-man roster Tuesday.
Kimball has tossed just four innings after recovering from rotator cuff surgery. In those four innings, he has a 13.50 ERA and four walks.

(3/21/13) Nationals pitcher Cole Kimball threw a bullpen session Wednesday as he continues to work his way back from shoulder stiffness, according to MLB.com. Kimball has not appeared in a Grapefruit League game since March 13. Though he has a history of shoulder problems in the past, the injury is not believed to be serious.

|(2/17/13) Nationals manager Davey Johnson said on Sunday that he would prefer Cole Kimball to begin the season at Triple-A Syracuse in order to get some work in the closing role. Kimball last pitched in the majors in 2011 as he continues to recover from rotator cuff surgery. Hes certainly got a good future so well be keeping a close eye on him but hes been throwing exceptionally well, Johnson told the Washington Times. What Im seeing is hes throwing all his pitches, everyday. Hes showing a lot of arm strength and pretty good command of it."
