(9/29/13) Scott Diamond had one of his better second-half performances for the Twins on Sunday, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Indians on the final day of the season. Lasting six innings, Diamond gave up four runs, but only two were earned, and he was charged with a loss that dropped his record to 6-13.
Diamond allowed seven hits, though only Nick Swisher's homer and double were for extra bases, and he did not walk a batter. The southpaw got three strikeouts and lowered his ERA to 5.43.

(9/24/13) Twins pitcher Scott Diamond gave up three home runs in his team's 4-2 loss Tuesday, allowing four earned runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out three in 6 1/3 innings.
It was Diamond's third three-homer game of the season, and the loss drops him to 6-12. Diamond owns a 5.54 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 49:36 K:BB ratio going into Sunday's finale against the Indians.

(9/18/13) Twins starter Scott Diamond earned the win Wednesday afternoon in Chicago. Diamond improved to 6-11 on the year as he threw a quality start.
Diamond held the White Sox to three runs on five hits and two walks over 6 1/3 innings. He threw 95 pitches and struck out none. His ERA is at 5.54 on the season.
The 27-year-old won for the first time since June 20, also against the White Sox. He'd lost his previous five decisions. Diamond makes his next start Tuesday versus Detroit.

Diamond allowed four runs in 4 2/3 innings. He gave up six hits and walked two batters. Diamond notched one strikeout. His ERA jumped to 5.61.

(9/9/13) Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Monday that Minnesota will use a six-man pitching rotation going forward throughout the end of the season, FOX Sports reports. Minnesota will put pitcher Scott Diamond back into the rotation with Cole De Vries headed to the bullpen.
Diamond, just called up from the minors Sunday, is likely to make his next start Friday against the Rays. He has gone 5-10 this season over 20 starts for Minnesota with a 5.52 ERA. His last start since his demotion came back on Aug. 1 in a loss to the Royals.
