Report: Scott Diamond to throw bullpen for Red Sox

(1/21/15) Free-agent pitcher Scott Diamond will throw a bullpen session for the Red Sox, according to 1500ESPN.

Diamond started last season with the Twins, but was released in July. He signed on with the Reds, but remained in the minors for the rest of the year. Diamond posted a 6.57 ERA over 123 1/3 innings over three levels of the minors.

(7/15/14) The Reds have signed pitcher Scott Diamond to a minor-league deal, 1500ESPN.com reports.

Diamond had a few offers from which to choose, but he decided to join the Reds organization, where he'll report to Triple-A Louisville. He posted a 6.52 ERA and 47:22 K:BB ratio in 80 innings with Triple-A Rochester before being released by the Twins last weekend.

(7/12/14) The Twins have released minor-league pitcher Scott Diamond Saturday afternoon, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Diamond went 4-7 with a 6.53 ERA over 80 innings at Triple-A Rochester.

(3/29/14) Twins pitcher Scott Diamond has accepted a Triple-A assignment, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Diamond was passed through waivers earlier in the week. He went unclaimed and has decided to remain in the organization. He posted a 5.43 ERA in 131 innings last year.

Chris Parmelee and Scott Diamond headed to Triple-A

(3/27/14) Twins outfielder Chris Parmelee and pitcher Scott Diamond are ticketed for Triple-A, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Both players went unclaimed through waivers, and will head to the minors. Parmelee hit .228/.309/.354 in 294 at-bats last year. Diamond tossed 131 innings last season, posting a 5.43 ERA.
