(2/1/13) The Red Sox outrighted relief pitcher Chris Carpenter to Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday after he successfully cleared waivers. Carpenter was designated for assignment last week to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for recently acquired catcher Mike Napoli.
