Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez dealing with hamstring tightness

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(8/31/15) Dodgers infielder Enrique Hernandez left Sunday's game against the Cubs due to left hamstring tightness, per MLB.com. The injury popped up as he was trying to leg out a grounder in the bottom of the eighth inning.

"I'll wake up (Monday) and see how it feels and go from there," Hernandez said.

Hernandez is batting .364 (24 for 66) with a .545 slugging percentage and .945 OPS in his last 20 games (18 starts). He has three doubles, three home runs and nine RBI in that span.

Mattingly: Enrique Hernandez to be primary starter at 2B

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/10/15) Don Mattingly has declared to the Orange County Register that Enrique Hernandez will get the "first shot" at taking over as the starting second baseman for the Dodgers in the wake of a hamstring strain that has landed Howie Kendrick on the disabled list.

That should not be taken literally. Jose Peraza has been promoted and is set to start Monday at second. But Hernandez is starting in center and will apparently be used mostly at second.
