Mets' Alex Castellanos (foot) singles in return Monday

|(3/23/15) Mets outfielder Alex Castellanos returned from a bruised foot Monday and singled in his only at-bat while also seeing time at third base.
Castellanos is 8 for 30 this spring, but five of his eight hits have been for extra bases, including two doubles, two triples and one home run. He came out of Saturday's game with the foot issue after colliding with a runner.

|(3/21/15) Mets first baseman Alex Castellanos was forced to leave Saturday's game after colliding with a runner while trying to corral a poor throw.
Castellanos tangled with Jason Krizan in the sixth inning, on an off-line throw from catcher Johnny Monell. He limped off the field and left the game.
Afterward, manager Terry Collins said that Castellanos rolled his ankle on the play, and he'd been diagnosed with a bruised right foot, per ESPN's Adam Rubin.

|(3/7/15) Mets outfielder Alex Castellanos dodged an injury bullet on Friday. Castellanos underwent X-rays on his injured right middle finger, which came back clean and did not reveal a fractured bone, per ESPN. Castellanos hit by a pitch during Friday's spring game against the Tigers. It remains to be seen how long he'll be sidelined moving forward.
