|(4/14/15) Kevin Jepsen earned his first save of the year, pitching a perfect ninth inning in the Rays' win on Tuesday.
Jepsen's one-two-three inning made a winner of reliever Steve Geltz , who retired all four batters he faced in the sixth and seventh innings to earn his first career win.

|(4/10/15) Rays pitcher Steven Geltz started Friday night's game 10-9 loss against the Marlins but only went two innings.
The Rays went with a pitcher-by-committee strategy for their interleague game. Geltz struck out one batter, walked one and gave up one earned run. The Rays used eight pitchers against the Marlins, a game that went 10 innings.

|(4/9/15) The Rays are reportedly going to start right-handed relief pitcher Steven Geltz on Friday against the Marlins, according to the Tampa Bays Times.
Geltz was suspended for 50 games in May of 2014 for a second positive test for an unspecified "drug of abuse."
The 27-year-old had an ERA of 1.74 in 10 1/3 innings pitched with eight strikeouts, giving up two earned runs on seven hits.

|(9/1/14) The Rays have announced several roster moves on Monday. The team recalled pitchers Steve Geltz and Brandon Gomes and catcher Curt Casali from Triple-A Durham. Outfileder David DeJesus was also activated from the disabled list, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

|(5/5/14) Rays minor-league pitcher Steven Geltz has been suspended 50 games after a second positive test for an unspecified "drug of abuse," the Los Angeles Times reports.
Geltz was traded to the Rays by the Angels just before the beginning of last season and posted a 2.82 ERA and 80:24 K:BB ratio in 67 innings with Triple-A Durham in 2013. He owns a 3.86 ERA and 19:8 K:BB ratio in 16 1/3 innings with Durham this season.
