(8:37 am ET) Mets outfielder Andrew Brown has been placed on the seven-day minor-league disabled list.
Brown left Sunday's game with an oblique strain. He's been playing with Triple-A Las Vegas but was a candidate to be called up. Brown has seen 15 at-bats with the major-league club this season. The 28-year-old is hitting .365/.441/.652 in 115 Triple-A at-bats this season.

(5/19/13) Mets outfielder Andrew Brown left Sunday's Triple-A game with an oblique strain.
Brown was positioned at first for the second time in three days and was a candidate to replace Ike Davis at first base in the majors. Brown is hitting .371 with three homers and 32 RBI in 30 games for Las Vegas before getting hurt.

(5/13/13) The Mets optioned outfielder Andrew Brown to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday in order to clear a spot on the roster for Rick Ankiel. Brown appeared in just six games after being promoted earlier this month and departs on a three-game hitting streak, which includes his first homer.

(5/8/13) Mets outfielder Andrew Brown was fielding grounders at first base prior to Wednesday's game against the White Sox. Manager Terry Collins said Brown could see playing time at first base, according to The Star-Ledger.
Brown has started twice in right field since his promotion from the minors. Unfortunately, he is 0 for 5 through two games.

(5/3/13) The Mets recalled outfielder Andrew Brown from Triple-A Las Vegas Friday to take the roster spot of struggling outfielder Collin Cowgill, who was optioned to the 51s. Brown, who was one of the team's final cuts during the spring, hit .367 with 13 doubles and 27 RBI in 25 games for Las Vegas.
He started in right field for Friday's game at Atlanta and served as the No. 8 hitter in the batting order during his first appearance with New York.
