Boxberger part of blockbuster deal: Cincinnati acquired SP Mat Latos from San Diego on Saturday for a package of four players, including OF Yonder Alonso and SP Edinson Volquez. The Reds gave up two of their top prospects -- first-round picks Alonso and C Yasmani Grandal -- in order to get Latos in their first deal of the offseason. Fantasy Analysis
Boxberger went 2-4 with 11 saves and a 2.03 ERA last season at Double-A and Triple-A. The right-hander also registered 93 strikeouts in 62 innings between the two levels, but his walk rate increased when he reached Triple-A.
