| Endy Chavez settling in with everyday at-bats |
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (6/4/13) Mariners outfielder Endy Chavez started for the eighth time in nine games Monday against the White Sox. He ended up with two singles in three at-bats.
Chavez has hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games, batting .295 (13 for 44) with one double, two home runs and three RBI.

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (5/20/13) Mariners outfielder Endy Chavez delivered a pinch-hit home run leading off the ninth inning Monday at Cleveland, giving Seattle a 7-6 lead. Unfortunately, closer Tom Wilhelmsen allowed Cleveland to tie the game in the bottom of the inning.
It was Chavez's first home run since July 16 of last season. Chavez is batting .289 with five RBI through 26 games.

| Endy Chavez, Jason Bay to see time in CF |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (4/23/13) The Mariners are expected to give outfielder Endy Chavez the bulk of the playing time in center field with Franklin Gutierrez on the disabled list, MLB.com reports Tuesday. Jason Bay will back him up at the position.
Chavez will man center until Michael Saunders can come off the DL and take over the spot.
The 35-year-old Chavez is 2 for 9 with a double and an RBI in his last two starts and is batting .241 with two RBI in 29 at-bats.
The 34-year-old Bay has 38 at-bats entering Tuesday's game in Houston and is hitting .184 with a homer and two RBI. He's struck out 14 times.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com (4/18/13) Mariners outfielder Endy Chavez drew his fourth start of the season Thursday against the Tigers.
The 35-year-old singled in a run in the seventh inning to give the Mariners a two-run advantage. It was his first RBI of the season. Chavez reached base three times as he finished 2 for 3 with a walk and an RBI in a 2-0 victory.
Chavez is hitting .313 over his first 16 at-bats.

White | CBSSports.com (4/13/13) Mariners center fielder Endy Chavez drew his first start of the season, picking up a single in four at-bats during the Mariners' 3-1 win over the Rangers Friday night. Chavez was called up Thursday with Michael Saunders heading to the disabled list and drew the start, with regular center fielder Franklin Gutierrez replacing Raul Ibanez later in the game.
