Preseason Outlook

Even though he no longer had a clear starting role, Wigginton still put together 410 at-bats in his first year with the Orioles -- more than he had as a starter during an injury-plagued season in Houston just one year earlier. Unfortunately, the inconsistency of those at-bats caused his power numbers to decline, leaving him with fewer than 20 homers for the first time in four seasons. Now 32, Wigginton again won't get regular at-bats in Baltimore, but he'll get enough playing time around the diamond, particularly against left-handers, to sniff 15 homers. He's worth drafting in AL-only leagues because of his versatility. (Updated 1/22/10)
