RP prospect Garate injured : The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Marlins Triple-A RP prospect Victor Garate, who is a Pacific Coast League All-Star, left Monday's start after just 14 pitches with an apparent arm injury. He is not on the minor league disabled list, but the team is holding him out for now. Were going to see how he responds to some treatment, manager Greg Norton said. (Updated 07/07/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Garate is 3-2 in 29 games with the Zephyrs, sporting a 2.68 ERA in the process. Fantasy owners in long-term leagues should keep an eye on his progress, though he isn't necessarily on the fast track to the big leagues. Still, Garate has been solid when called upon, so the injury is a concern. Ignore him for now. (Updated 07/07/2011).
