Fantasy Analysis
Chavez had to be cleared by Major League Baseball before returning to the lineup, which likely delayed his return. But the Yankees were also being cautious with the veteran infielder as the seven-day disabled list is usually reserved for players dealing with concussions. Chavez is hitting .290 with three homers and five RBI this season. Consider him a low-end reserve in deeper AL-only Fantasy formats when active. (Updated 05/11/2012).
