(6/4/13) Tigers reliever Luis Marte underwent season-ending shoulder surgery, according to The Toledo Blade. Marte was 1-2 with a 9.00 ERA in three relief appearances for Triple-A Toledo before landing on the disabled list.

(3/28/13) The Tigers announced Thursday they optioned reliever Luis Marte to Triple-A Toledo. Marte had a productive spring, posting a 2.19 ERA in 12 1/3 relief innings. He also struck out eight and recorded three saves.
