| Adams has shoulder surgery |

(5/24/12) Indians pitching prospect Austin Adams had surgery on his right shoulder on Wednesday, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Adams pitched for Double-A Akron in 2011, going 11-10 with a 3.77 ERA, but he has been out all year after experiencing a shoulder impingement in spring training. Adams is expected to miss the rest of this season.
