| Mariners move Stephen Pryor to 60-day DL |
by Jack Moore | CBSSports.com (5/17/13) The Mariners have moved reliever Stephen Pryor to the 60-day disabled list, the club announced Friday.
Pryor is eligible to return in mid-June. He has been dealing with a lat problem but will avoid surgery, and will likely return near the end of June.

| Stephen Pryor likely out until June |
by Adam Moore | CBSSports.com (5/11/13) Mariners reliever Stephen Pryor, who is on the 15-day disabled list with a torn right lat muscle, played catch from about 45 feet Saturday, MLB.com reports.
"I've been playing catch, doing a lot of lower-body workouts," he said. "But that's about it for now. I think I'm right on schedule. I don't know what that means as far as getting on the mound, but hopefully in the next few weeks."

| Stephen Pryor making slow progress |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (5/5/13) Mariners skipper Eric Wedge had good and bad news regarding reliever Stephen Pryor Sunday, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Pryor, coming back from a strained side muscle suffered April 14, is making positive progress, according to Wedge. That said, Wedge also said "it's still going to be a while" before Pryor returns for the club.

| Stephen Pryor won't need surgery |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (4/16/13) Mariners pitcher Stephen Pryor, on the disabled list with a right lat tear, will not require surgery, ESPN reports. The Mariners are unsure how long Pryor will be sidelined.

| Stephen Pryor placed on disabled list |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (4/15/13) The Mariners placed relief pitcher Stephen Pryor on the 15-day disabled list with a tear in his right latissimus dorsi muscle, MLB.com reports Monday. The corresponding roster move will be announced Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Pryor has appeared in seven games and has not allowed a run over 7 1/3 innings with three hits and one walk given up with seven strikeouts.
Pryor left Sunday's game against the Rangers with the injury.
|
| Stephen Pryor received his first taste of the majors last season as he was called up in early June after posting a microscopic 0.93 ERA in 29 appearances between two stop in the minors. He recorded a 1.69 ERA over his first six appearances for Seattle before a groin injury sidelined him. The right-hander would return in August and ended up going 3-1 with a 3.91 ERA over 26 appearances with 27 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched. The Mariners believe Pryor has the stuff to be their closer of the future but it looks as though they will bring the 23-year-old along slowly. With his plus fastball and high strikeout rate, Pryor has some solid upside in Fantasy and will likely be the eighth-inning guy for Tom Wilhelmsen 2013. He could see save chances if Wilhelmsen suffers an injury, but Pryor would be best left for deeper AL-only formats and long-term keeper leagues on Draft Day. (Updated 1/10/13) |
