The 27-year-old Solis appeared in eight games for the Rays last season, with one RBI.
The Dodgers are down to five catchers in camp and are likely to add another non-roster catcher.

Ali Solis out Sunday
|by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com|
|(6/1/14) Rays catcher Ali Solis was not in the team's starting lineup Sunday.
Solis had to leave Saturday's game after being hit in the nose with a deflected pitch. He's not the normal starter at the position, so it's unclear if this is a normal day of rest, or if he needs more time to recover.
Ball takes bad bounce, forces Ali Solis out
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
|(5/31/14) Rays catcher Ali Solis was unable to make it through even one at-bat Saturday, as a bad hop forced him out of the team's game against the Red Sox.
Solis was forced to leave in the middle of his at-bat in the third inning, after a ball took an off carom off the catcher, bounced up and hit Solis in the nose. He left the game and was replaced by Jose Molina, who struck out in the at-bat.
Solis was diagnosed with a nasal contusion, and his status moving forward is not yet known.
