(3/5/13) The Cleveland Indians made their first roster moves of the spring Tuesday and assigned the following players to their minor-league camp: outfielder Jeremy Hermida, first baseman Jesus Aguilar and pitcher Edward Paredes.

(2/7/13) MLB.com reports Indians first base prospect Jesus Aguilar might be the best pure power hitter in the team's farm system. "He has the ability to hit the ball a long way," Indians director of player development Ross Atkins said. "He's already an accomplished first baseman. It's early in his career. He has moved relatively quickly. The Arizona Fall League attention, the performances he's had in winter ball, the home runs he has hit in winter ball, those have expedited some things for him."
