Giants SP Chris Heston gives up six runs, gets win on Saturday
|by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer|
|(5/23/15) Giants pitcher Chris Heston struggled in his start on Saturday against the Rockies. The rookie right-hander was tagged for six runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out two. His offense bailed him out, however, as he was able to record his fourth win of the season.
Heston (4-3) served up a solo home run to Ben Paulsen in the bottom of the second. But most of the damage came in the fifth and sixth innings. Heston surrendered a solo home run to Nick Hundley and a two-run blast to Charlie Blackmon, each coming in the fith.
This makes back-to-back poor outings for Heston, who now sports a 4.33 ERA. He has been solid for most of the season, posting quality starts in five of his nine starts so far. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start, scheduled for Thursday against the Braves.

Heston allowed a solo home run to Jason Castro for his only damage of the evening. He permitted one earned run on two hits and no walks in nine innings of work. He twirled a gem with 70 strikes in 107 pitches to improve to 3-3 with a 2.91 ERA this season.
