Preseason Outlook

Pineiro was yet another stroke of genius for pitching guru Dave Duncan, who has made a career of making solid starters out of arms off the scrap heap. Pineiro's rebound year will likely earn him a sizeable free-agent contract and makes him one of the top 60 Fantasy starting pitchers to target on Draft Day again. We don't see him having another 15-victory, sub-4.00 ERA season, but he is a veteran that can thrive in favorable matchups over the course of the season. (Updated 1/11/10)
