Fantasy Analysis
Pineiro had a rough 2011 season with the Angels, which was marred by shoulder problems. He went 7-7 with a 5.13 ERA. However, it's worth pointing out that Pineiro won 15 games in 2009 and had a 3.84 ERA in 2010, so the shoulder problems likely played a huge part in his struggles last season. If Pineiro bounces back this spring, then he might pitch his way onto the Phillies roster. For now, though, you can just treat Pineiro as a wait-and-see Fantasy option. (Updated 01/15/2012).
