| Matt Magill back on track vs. Miami |
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com (5/11/13) Dodgers right-hander Matt Magill turned in a decent start but endured some command issues as he failed to factor into the decision Friday night against the Marlins.
Magill, who made his third start of the season, blew a 3-0 lead as he surrendered a three-run home run to Derek Dietrich in the fourth for his only damage of the night. He was charged with three runs and three hits over five innings of work in a 5-4 defeat. He walked four and struck out two in 93 pitches, 52 strikes.

| Matt Magill to make next start vs. Miami |
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com (5/5/13) Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is expected to use right-hander Matt Magill for at least one more start Friday night, according to MLB.com.
Magill was roughed up for five runs and six hits over 1 1/3 innings Saturday night against the Giants. Mattingly had the choice to skip Magill in the rotation, especially with an off day Thursday. Instead, he will roll with the 23-year-old for Friday's series opener against the Marlins to give his rotation an extra day of rest.
"He's an easy guy to trust," Mattingly said. "A kid like him stays calm, he keeps working. He had the same demeanor that he had after his last time out. You get a good feeling with him."
Magill is 1-0 with a 7.88 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP through his first two starts in the majors.
