|(6/30/15) The Rays optioned pitcher Kirby Yates to Triple-A after Tuesday's loss to the Indians, the team announced.
Yates allowed two runs over 2/3 innings of work in Tuesday's contest. He now has a 6.14 ERA.

|(6/23/15) Right-handed reliever Kirby Yates has been a mess for Triple-A Durham all season, but that did not prevent the Rays from promoting him Tuesday, per the Tampa Tribune.
Yates has allowed 10 runs on 11 hits and seven walks in 10 innings this season. He has not even pitched better lately. He has given up five runs in his last five innings pitched.

|(6/9/15) Rays manager Kevin Cash provided brief updates Tuesday on the statuses of injured players James Loney and Kirby Yates. They were so brief that he decided to write them on a whiteboard, per the Tampa Bay Times.
Loney, who is on the 15-day disabled list due to a finger injury, is working out and rehabbing at his home. He is not expected back until late June at the earliest.
Yates, who is on the 15-day disabled list due to a pectoral injury, had his rehab assignment transferred from Class A Charlotte to Triple-A Durham. Yates allowed three runs (two earned) in two innings with Charlotte. He had two strikeouts and one walk.

|(6/5/15) Rays reliever Kirby Yates made his first minor-league rehab appearance on Thursday, tossing one inning for Class A Charlotte. Yates allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits while striking out two.
Yates is working his way back from a strained pectoral muscle that has kept him on the disabled list since mid-April. The team has not revealed a firm timetable for when he might be able to re-join the team.
