|by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer|
|(5/12/15) With left-hander Chris Sale on the mound for the opposing White Sox, Brewers manager Craig Counsell decided to keep first baseman Adam Lind out of the starting lineup on Tuesday.
Lind has been shielded from left-handed pitching this season, making just 21 plate appearances against southpaws. The only time Lind has faced Sale in his career he struck out.
Jason Rogers will draw the start at first base and bat fifth on Tuesday.

Brewers' Rogers starts for Lind on Monday with tough lefty on hill

|(5/4/15) Craig Counsell rolled out his first lineup as manager of the Brewers on Monday against the Dodgers. However, starting first baseman Adam Lind was not in the starting lineup, as he was replaced by Jason Rogers.
Lind's absence likely had more to do with left-hander Clayton Kershaw on the hill rather than his 1-for-7 start to May. Lind does not have a strong track record against lefties, batting .214 against them in his career.
Rogers earned his second start in four games at first base. The right-handed hitter is batting .412 (7 for 17) in 10 games this season.

Lind is in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak after launching his fourth home run of the season Wednesday against Cincinnati. He is hitting .419 (13 for 31) with two doubles, three homers, seven RBI, two walks and nine strikeouts in eight games.
