(6/15/14) Phillies prospect Roman Quinn is being converted from a shortstop to center fielder, according to CSNPhilly.com. The 2011 second-round pick is batting .253 with one home run and three RBI in 19 games for Class A Clearwater.
"Roman has played well at shortstop," Phillies director of player development Joe Jordan said. "He understands the move, he good with it and he’s excited about it. He’s had no off days (during Clearwater’s All-Star break). He’s been out there working on it every day and we’re ready to roll him out."

(11/6/13) CSNPhilly.com reports that Phillies shortstop prospect Roman Quinn injured himself duirng offseason workouts, rupturing his right Achillies tendon. Quinn had already had surgery on the tendon and was in the midst of a rehab program.
He is also recovering from a fractured wrist and may have surgery to expedite the healing of that injury. Prior to sustaining the wrist injury, Quinn played 67 games at Class A Lakewood, hitting .238 with 32 stolen bases.
There is no timetable for Quinn's return.
