|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(3/21/15) The Orioles cut Henry Urrutia on Saturday, optioning the designated hitter/outfielder to Triple-A Norfolk.

Orioles' Showalter pleased with progress from Henry Urrutia
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
|(3/12/15) Orioles outfielder Henry Urrutia made a nice running catch in right field during Wednesday's spring game against the Blue Jays, per MASNsports.com. Manager Buck Showalter said Thursday the play indicates the progress Urrutia has made to become a stronger defender.
"He's improved," Showalter said. "He's worked very hard at it. I thought he made a tough play even though the wind was blowing in. He made a play over in (Fort Myers, Fla.,) that a lot of people thought wasn't, but the wind knocked the ball down the whole way, and it's something that he's really worked hard at.
"He spent a lot of the offseason attacking some of the things that people might question from time to time, which was good to see."

He is hitting .200 in 30 at-bats in that span, and will likely return to action next week, with a chance to be called up later in the season if a need arises in the majors.
"There's ways to catch up and be an option for us," Showalter said.
