OF Aaron Judge, RP Jacob Lindgren won't help Yankees in 2015

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/27/15) Two young players remain unlikely candidates to take the field for the Yankees by the end of the season.

One is top outfield prospect Aaron Judge, whom general manager Brian Cashman has ruled out for a possible promotion, per LoHud.com. The other is southpaw reliever Jacob Lindgren, who has yet to begin throwing bullpen sessions in his rehab from a left elbow injury that required surgery.

Judge is on a 0-for-14 slide at Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre. He owns a decent .262/.337/.469 slash line on the year.

Yankees' Aaron Judge searching for consistency at Triple-A

by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(7/16/15) Yankees top prospect Aaron Judge has had trouble maintaining his Double-A success in 19 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Since being promoted to Triple-A, the 23-year-old outfielder is batting .268 (19 for 71) with one home run and seven RBI. He has also struck out 17 times in that time.

Yankees promote Aaron Judge to Triple-A

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(6/22/15) The Yankees moved up prospect Aaron Judge from Double-A to Triple-A on Monday, reports the New York Daily News.

Judge is considered the No. 2 prospect in the organization. He hit .289 with 12 home runs and 44 RBI through his first 62 games at Double-A this season.

Report: Yankees prospect Aaron Judge heading to Triple-A

by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(6/21/15) Aaron Judge , the Yankees No. 2 prospect, appears to be one step closer to making it to the big leagues. Judge is reportedly being promoted to Triple-A Scranton, according to MLB.com, as reported by the YES Network.

Judge made his Double-A debut this season, and has a batting line of .289/.335/.524 with 12 home runs and 44 RBI through 62 games with Trenton.

"He's just big. He's just big and strong," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said this spring. "You're not going to see too many people that big in the game. It's just not tall -- there's a lot of strength there as well. He's a really good athlete, and sometimes when you see a guy like that, you're not sure how good of an athlete you have. But you have a really good athlete, too."

Judge has gotten most of his reps in right field as a professional. It's possible that the Yankees' 2013 first-round pick (32nd overall) could make his MLB debut this season, though that has not been determined as of yet.

Yankees prospect Aaron Judge's power reminiscent of Stanton

by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(5/15/15) Yankees 2013 first-round draft pick Aaron Judge is making his debut at Double-A this season, but he's already been compared to Giancarlo Stanton. CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Jon Heyman had scouts tell him that the exit velocity of a recent home run from Judge reminded them of Stanton.

Judge is currently raking in Trenton, hitting .333 with six home runs and 20 RBI in his first 32 games. He certainly looks like the right fielder of the future for the Yankees. Baseball America ranked him the No. 53 prospect in all of baseball coming into this season.
