Wei-Chung Wang preparing as a starter this season

|(2/25/15) Brewers pitcher Wei-Chung Wang will be used as a starter this season, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Wang was a Rule 5 draft pick last year, and was put in the team's bullpen in order to keep him on the club throughout the entire season. Now that he's no longer subject to the Rule 5 restrictions, Wang will likely spend the season in the minors as a starting pitcher. If Wang was removed from the Brewers 25-man roster at any point last season, he was subject to being sent back to the Pirates.
Though Wang is expected to open the year in the minors, he's not upset. "I don't feel sad because I trust myself that I will come back (to the Brewers)," he said. "I am hopeful that maybe in September I can come back (as a September call-up)."
The 22-year-old posted a 10.90 ERA over 17 1/3 innings last year.

|(8/24/14) Brewers pitcher Wei-Chung Wang transferred his rehab assignment from Class A Wisconsin to high Class A Brevard County Saturday.
Wang could be an option to rejoin the Brewers once rosters expand in September, but the team could also decide to shut him down for the remainder of the season. He was placed on the disabled list in mid-July with shoulder tightness.

|(8/4/14) Brewers pitcher Wei-Chung Wang began a rehab assignment with the team's Arizona League affiliate Sunday, giving up one hit and striking out one in 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
Wang was placed on the disabled list in early July due to a shoulder issue. While he's struggled in 13 relief appearances with the team, posting an 11.12 ERA in 17 innings, the Brewers plan to stretch him out as a starter during his rehab assignment.
