|by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com|
|(4/18/15) Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta went 1 for 4 at the plate in Arizona's 4-1 loss to the Giants Saturday.
Peralta did his damage in the fourth inning, ripping a 2-0 pitch from Chris Heston over the right field wall for a solo home run, his second of the season. Peralta is now hitting .267 in 30 at-bats this season.
David Peralta, Jake Lamb return to Diamondbacks lineup

|(4/17/15) The Diamondbacks have decided to go with outfielder David Peralta and Jake Lamb in their lineup for Friday night's game against the Giants.
Peralta is manning left field and batting cleanup and Lamb is playing third base and hitting fifth. Before jumping back in the starting lineup, Peralta hadn't started in the past two games but came off the bench.
Lamb didn't start Thursday but came off the bench as well.
Diamondbacks' Hale: Ender Inciarte set to play regularly
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(4/17/15) Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said Thursday that left fielder Ender Inciarte will play almost every day after jumping out to a hot start, MLB.com reports.
"He's going to be in there most every day now," Hale said. "The way he's played, he's forced his way in there."
Inciarte is set to fill the leadoff spot moving forward, with former leadoff man A.J. Pollock sliding down to the No. 2 spot.
"I think Pollock in the two-hole is dynamic," Hale said. "He's got a little more power and Ender has done a better job of getting on base at this point so far."
Hale said he's still try to find some playing time for David Peralta, but with Inciarte entering play Thursday hitting .406/.441/.594 in 32 at-bats, the manager has had trouble finding a good time to take him out of the lineup.

Diamondbacks' Peralta batting cleanup Tuesday, Pollock benched
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(4/7/15) Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta is starting in left field and batting cleanup in Tuesday's matchup with the Giants.
Peralta wasn't in the lineup on Opening Day against lefty Madison Bumgarner but did eventually see action, striking out in a pinch-hit appearance. Ender Inciarte, who started in left field and batted second Monday, will move to center field and lead off for the Diamondbacks against righty Ryan Vogelsong.
A.J. Pollock, who led off and played center field Monday, is not in Tuesday's starting lineup.
The game is expected to be close, as the Diamondbacks and Giants both have the same odds (-105).
|2014 summary: A one-time pitcher in the Cardinals' minor league system, David Peralta completed a long and improbable journey in 2014, reaching the majors as an outfielder with the Diamondbacks. Peralta hit only eight home runs in 329 at-bats, but he helped points league owners with his gap power, which produced 12 doubles and nine triples. Aside from missing two weeks in September with a back injury, Peralta played regularly once he was called up in June. The rookie finished the year with a .286 batting average, 36 RBI, 40 runs and six stolen bases.|
Playing time status: Peralta will split time in left field with Ender Inciarte, but he should get the bulk of the assignments against right-handed pitchers, giving him the larger share of overall playing time.
2015 outlook: Especially since Peralta isn't likely to play often against lefties, he won't get enough plate appearances to help owners in standard mixed leagues. He is worth drafting in deeper mixed points leagues, not only for the doubles and triples power, but also for a potentially low strikeout rate. However, Rotisserie owners don't need to pursue Peralta outside of NL-only formats and very deep mixed leagues.
