Also, they optioned OF Rogeravin Bernadina to Double-A Harrisburg, RHP Tyler Clippard to Triple-A Columbus, LHP Ross Detwiler to Class A Potomac, OF Justin Maxwell to Double-A Harrisburg, RHP Garrett Mock and 1B Josh Whitesell to Triple-A Columbus. Finally, they released C Chad Moeller unconditionally. |

| (11/28/07) Left-hander Mike Bacsik, who gave up Barry Bonds' record-breaking 756th homer, agreed to terms on a minor league deal with the Nationals. Bacsik was among 19 minor league free agents the Nationals announced Tuesday agreed to contracts and were invited to spring training. The other minor league free agents, several of whom have major league experience, are right-handers Steven Shell, Dennis Tankersley, Bobby Brownlie, Tristan Crawford and Jim Ed Warden; left-handers Mike Hinckley, Arnie Munoz and Jason Stanford; catchers Humberto Cota and Chad Moeller; infielders William Bergolla, Yurendell DeCaster, Antonio Perez, Luis Jimenez and Ed Rogers; and outfielders Jason Dubois, Tommy Murphy and Jorge Padilla. |
