Injury Report
Shoulder - 60-day DL. Likely out for season (Updated - 5/1/12)
Fantasy Analysis
A timeline for his return has yet to be released by the team, previous reports suggested that Moseley could miss between 10-15 months with the injury. Moseley is only a useful Fantasy option in NL-only formats when healthy, so he can be dropped in all leagues at this point. (Updated 04/26/2012).
04/08/2012 00:55 Dodgers' Gordon knocks in game-winner
Dee Gordon singled in the go-ahead run with two outs in the 11th inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers, who blew a five-run lead in the fifth, beat the San Diego Padres 6-5 on Saturday night for their third straight win.
Dustin Moseley missed the last two months of the 2011 season as he had arthroscopic surgery on his left (non-throwing) shoulder in early August, but he still managed to make a career-high 20 starts. He should be ready for spring training and figures to start the season as the Padres' No. 5 starter. Moseley has spent most of his career as a swingman and could revert back to a relief role at any point in 2012 as Anthony Bass, Joseph Wieland and Robbie Erlin all figure to get a shot at a rotation spot sometime during the coming season. As the fifth starter, Moseley is vulnerable to being replaced and while he is capable of posting a below-average ERA and WHIP, he will have a hard time holding off younger pitchers with higher upside. At least to start the year, Moseley will have value for NL-only owners, but he should be a late-round pick, as he may not contribute as much as the season wears on. (Updated 2/17/12)
