| Andres Torres delivers first home run |
by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com (5/5/13) Giants outfielder Andres Torres homered for the first time this season to halt a six-game hitless streak during a 10-9 victory over the Dodgers in 10 innings Saturday night. He entered the game in the fifth inning and finished 1 for 2 with a walk and his first homer -- a solo blast -- since the final game of the 2012 campaign as a member of the Mets.
Torres has played an entire game just once over his past five appearances and is hitting .236. His home run also represented his first extra-base hit since April 21.

by Ed Gauna | CBSSports.com (4/10/13) Giants outfielder Andres Torres matched his hit total from his first six games on Wednesday against the Rockies. He went 3 for 5 with two RBI and a run scored in a 10-0 win.
The 35-year-old singled home two in the second inning before leading off the fifth with a double. He added another base hit in the sixth for his first multi-hit performance.
Torres is batting .286 (6 for 21).

by Ed Gauna | CBSSports.com (4/1/13) Giants manager Bruce Bochy said before Monday's season opener against the Dodgers that Gregor Blanco and Andres Torres will platoon in left field.
Blanco received the nod Monday against lefty Clayton Kershaw and Torres is expected to start Tuesday against right-hander Josh Beckett.
"Whoever's the hottest with the bat will be out there," Bochy told MLB.com.

Torres went 0 for 3 and left a man on base in a 12-5 defeat. He is hitting .276 with a home run and three RBI in 29 at-bats this spring.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com (3/22/13) Giants outfielder Andres Torres was forced out of Thursday's contest against the Rockies due to a sore left foot. Torres went 2 for 3 with a double before getting hurt. His injury is not believed to be serious as the Giants removed him from the game for precautionary reasons. He is hitting .307 with a home run and three RBI in 26 at-bats this spring.
