Preseason Outlook

McGowan was emerging as a reliable Fantasy option before a shoulder injury ruined him for almost two years. He's too much of a long shot now to trust as more than an AL-only sleeper, especially since the Blue Jays are not counting on him being ready for the start of the season. We notoriously loathe pitchers struggling with major shoulder issues, mostly because of the lessons of Mark Prior, Jason Schmidt and the like. (Updated 1/13/10)
