Fantasy Analysis
Hall split the 2011 season between Houston and San Francisco, but he hit just .211 in 62 games. Hall will try to make the Yankees roster as a reserve bat, but he appears past his heyday. Leave him off Fantasy rosters until further notice. (Updated 02/07/2012).

A couple marquee names could find themselves in new positions in Fantasy Week 13. Our Scott White runs through another week of interleague ramifications in his latest Hitting Planner.
Bill Hall has experienced quite the drop in production since blasting a career-high 35 home runs with Milwaukee during the 2006 season. In the following five seasons, Hall has recorded only 57 homers total as his power has iminished mightily while also spending time with the Mariners, Red Sox, Astros and Giants. He split last year between Houston and San Francisco, but managed only two home runs -- both with the Astros -- for his lowest total since his rookie season in 2002. He also posted a paltry .211 batting average last year -- the fourth consecutive season he's hit under .250 as his career seems to be winding down at age 32. Hall signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees in February and will compete for a backup infield spot behind Eduardo Nunez. It's clear his best days are behind him and he continues to be one of the biggest strikeout victims in the majors. Fantasy owners should not consider him a worthwhile option in 2012 drafts as his playing time will likely be limited even if he makes the team. (Updated 2/7/12)
