Preseason Outlook

Calero mulling comeback: According to CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Jon Heyman, former major league reliever Kiko Calero is considering a stem cell procedure similar to the one that Bartolo Colon underwent. Calero is hoping to make a comeback after not pitching in the majors since the 2009 season. (Updated 03/03/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Calero has floated around the Triple-A clubs for the Mets and Dodgers, but did not pitch at all last year. The right-hander, who turned 37 years old last January, has played for three teams during his major league career and posted a 3.24 ERA over his seven seasons. Colon experienced quality success with the Yankees in 2011 after the procedure, but it's not a guarantee Calero would. Leave him untouched in all Fantasy formats. (Updated 03/03/2012).
