| Koyie Hill might be Marlins' backup catcher |

(3/27/13) Marlins manager Mike Redmond said Wednesday newly signed catcher Koyie Hill might have a chance to make the roster as the backup catcher to Rob Brantly, according to The Palm Beach Post.
"It's a perfect fit for what we need," Redmond said.

(3/24/13) The Marlins added depth behind the plate Sunday by signing catcher Koyie Hill to a minor-league contract. He will likely start the season in the minors as Miami is expected to use Kyle Skipworth as the backup to starter Rob Brantly.

(8/14/12) The Rangers signed catcher Koyie Hill to a minor league contract the team announced Tuesday. Hill was released by the Nationals earlier this month after batting .163 with their Triple-A Syracuse.
