Jenks arrested for DUI: The Providence Journal reports that Red Sox reliever Bobby Jenks was arrested for driving under the influence in addition to four other charges. Jenks posted bail on Friday morning in Lee County, Fla., where the Red Sox have their spring training facility. He was also charged with three counts of driving under the influence and damage to property and another count of leaving the scene of a crash involving damage to property. Jenks is expected to miss roughly half the season as he continues to recover from two offseason back surgeries. (Updated 03/23/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
The news just keeps getting worse for Jenks. He appeared to be someone to keep tabs on in AL-only leagues that use middle relievers, as he could contribute in the second half, but this latest arrest suggests that there could be lingering issues that he will need to deal with. Since he was a low-end option in deeper leagues to begin with, owners have little to lose by passing Jenks over in all formats. (Updated 03/23/2012).
02/10/2012 09:03 2012 Fantasy outlooks: Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox didn't make much noise this winter after a disasterous end to their 2011 season. Our Al Melchior examines the revamped roster for owners in advance of Draft Day.
Bobby Jenks endured one of the worst campaigns of his career in 2011 as injuries and inconsistent play hindered him all season long. After signing with Boston in the offseason, he posted a 9.35 ERA over his first 11 appearances before a strained biceps landed him on the DL in early May. The right-hander would make just eight more appearances over the course of the season -- due to a myriad of injuries -- and finished the year 2-2 with a 6.32 ERA. Jenks underwent a second back surgery in January and might not be ready to go for the start of the 2012 campaign, so keep an eye on his status going forward. Even with the addition of Mark Melancon and Andrew Bailey by the Red Sox in the offseason, Jenks is expected to be the setup man in Boston again this season. But since the 30-year-old will have to prove healthy before becoming a viable option in Fantasy again, leave Jenks for AL-only formats on Draft Day. (Updated 2/7/12)
