by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(7/22/14) Red Sox catcher David Ross pulled up lame while running to first base Tuesday but remained in the game, and he was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis after the game, WEEI.com reports.

Ross said after the game that he didn't expect the injury to cause him to miss any time. "It’s been going on for a few days," Ross said. "I was getting better. It was getting a lot better. I just aggravated on that one swing. It’s not going to keep me from playing I don’t think. It’s one of those things that’s going to effect my running a little bit, which is definitely not something manager John [Farrell] is worrying about, my speed to help the team if it would."
