Once upon a time, Tracy hit 20 homers in the majors and looked like a burgeoning star. But injuries then slowed his career and then he struggled to hit consistently in the majors. Tracy hit .365 with 11 homers and 36 RBI in 44 games in the minors last season, so perhaps he still has some life left in his bat. If he makes the team, Tracy will be a utility player.
