Getz, Nix might be in platoon: From The Sports Xchange: 2B Chris Getz was once again on the bench Sunday, as the Angels started LHP Scott Kazmir, and although Getz had been hitting a respectable .254 against southpaws this season, the rookie had no problem with manager Ozzie Guillen sitting him for Jayson Nix against certain lefties. "Jayson has done pretty well against lefties," Getz said. "He's driven the ball pretty well. My track record is pretty good against them, but with that being said I think we kind of complement each other with the way they have us platooning." Getz, however, didn't mind it for another reason. He's still feeling the effects of an oblique strain, and admitted he was physically feeling pretty beat up at this point of the season. "Physically, I've been banged up, no denying that," Getz said. "I've had some lingering issues, but so has everyone else. I can't sit here and act like no one else is going through this. We're all going through what I'm going through. It's about putting that aside and continuing the push."

Getz is the better option in deeper AL-only leagues, but Nix could have a bit more intrigue if the White Sox are facing a lefty. Consider neither of them a true option for mixed formats down the stretch, though.
