| Indians sign Linden to minor deal |
| (5/27/08) Last week, Indians GM Mark Shapiro said he would try "incremental moves" to improve the team. Monday, he signed OF Todd Linden and INF Jorge Velandia to minor-league contracts and assigned them to Triple-A Buffalo. |

| (3/17/08) According to MLB.com, the Athletics informed OF Todd Linden that he won't begin the year with the team despite his .577 batting average this spring. "They told me I'm not going to Japan," Linden said. "So I'm obviously not making the team. ... I am not happy." |

| (3/15/08) A's OF Todd Linden had four hits, including one double, and drove in two runs in five at-bats Saturday against the Giants. Linden is hitting .583 (14-for-24) with 11 runs, two doubles, two triples and four RBI in 14 spring games. |
