Alfonzo has suspension dropped: The Denver Post reports Rockies catcher Eliezer Alfonzo had his 100-game suspension for a positive drug test dropped by MLB because of a chain-of-command procedural issues. The Rockies have outrighted Alfonso to Triple-A Colorado Springs, where he's on the restricted list until he can obtain a visa for travel from Venezuela. (Updated 05/14/2012)
General manager Dan O'Dowd said the Rockies will make a decision about Alfonso once he reports to Triple-A. The Rockies are set at catcher with Ramon Hernandez and Wilin Rosario. Alfonso has no Fantasy appeal at this time. (Updated 05/14/2012).
