(3/18/13) The Brewers released infielder Bobby Crosby on Monday. Crosby, in camp on a minor-league deal, was attempting to land a bench spot but batted .188 with no home runs or RBI in seven Cactus League games.

(3/5/13) Milwaukee infielder Bobby Crosby returned to the field on Tuesday for the Brewers in an exhibition matchup against Team Canada. Crosby started at third base and went 0 for 1 with a walk and a strikeout before being replaced. Crosby still has yet to play in an Cactus League game this spring as he was dealing with a thigh injury since earlier on in camp.

(2/28/13) Brewers infielder Bobby Crosby continues to remain idle during spring games because of a left thigh strain. “Today he is going to go out and do everything and see where he is,” manager Ron Roenicke said Thursday, per MLB.com. “We’re hoping this thing doesn’t go much longer. I wouldn’t think it would, but I also told him we have to make sure it’s gone before he plays again, because if he pulls it again, we’re talking a long time now.”

The Arizona Diamondbacks traded catcher Chris Snyder, minor-league shortstop Pedro Ciriaco and cash to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday for former AL Rookie of the Year Bobby Crosby, outfielder Ryan Church and right-hander D.J. Carrasco.
