Crisp returns from disabled list: Oakland outfielder Coco Crisp was activated from the 15-day disabled list Monday after overcoming a troublesome inner ear infection. Crisp has been sidelined since May 4 with the issue and only played in 18 games prior to the injury. He immediately returned to the starting lineup and slotted second in the batting order while patrolling center field. Crisp went 1 for 4 with a run scored in Monday's 2-1 win. (Updated 05/21/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Crisp's issue seemed to affect his start of the season as his average never topped .240 through 67 at-bats. The 32-year-old, normally a quality on-base threat, saw his OBP slip to .260 in the early going. Fantasy owners should utilize Crisp in deeper formats for now. (Updated 05/21/2012).

Coco Crisp added a new dimension to his game in his first year with the A's and was able to take it to the next level in 2011. After swiping 32 bases in just 75 games, setting a new personal best, he topped it a year ago by stealing 49 bases, which tied Yankees' Brett Gardner for the most in the American League. He was also able to play in more than 130 games for the first time since 2007 and posted his most RBI since that campaign. Crisp ended up with eight homers and 54 RBI while batting .264. He also slugged .379 but got on base at just a .314 clip. The 32-year-old has always been known as a contact hitter and since he is focusing his game more on speed at this stage of his career, he remains a viable option in Fantasy. Owners should keep in mind that he is always an injury risk but he is a productive option when on the field so consider Crisp a viable Fantasy outfielder in most formats on Draft Day, especially Rotisserie.
